The Southwest Chapter’s Monday Night Meeting Group’s recent Community Service Project was a splashing success in three different locations along the Southern California beaches & parks. Celebrating Earth Day, FOW members gathered at White Point Beach in San Pedro to support the Marine Mammal Care Center’s April Beach Clean-Up Event as well as near Ventura Harbor in Ventura & Stoner Park in West Los Angeles.
We were at the ready with trash liners, buckets, grabbers & gloves, working together to help restore the beauty of the shoreline – cleaning up over 75 pounds of litter collectively. It was a great team effort and feel-good accomplishment!
The ladies capped off the day of service with a delicious lunch, reflecting on the positive contributions we made within our communities & for the environment – and how much fun we had working together.
And, in true FOW fashion, we strengthened our connection with each other and shared inspiring stories of how Family of Women has positively impacted each of our lives for the next 3 wonderful hours!
