Millie Colon – FOW Lightkeepers Chapter – New York City
The most important females in my life [see above]. I’m proud of my daughters and granddaughters. I have passed on what I’ve gotten from being in the FOW to leave a legacy of strong, kind, smart and loving women. Both of my daughters are great wives and sisters. Alicia, my eldest, a weekend graduate of 18 years, is a fabulous mother of five. My granddaughters are confident and, as young as they are, they know their worth. Roxie is gender nonconforming. And gets our full support to express this identity.
They are civic minded and natural leaders. This is why I have been in the Family of Women for 21 years and hope to continue being a part of this sisterhood.
We lead, inspire and mentor women to embrace their power, purpose and value, and to take responsibility for their relationships. We empower women to live the lives they love, igniting their passion to make a positive contribution in the world.
